Analysis of Project In The Real World

For my creative content, I made a magazine ad for the car. I was very particular with the way the colors that I used and the font choices as well as the text that I included in the ad. The fact that the Audi was chosen in the Top 3 Most Safe Cars for this year was a main focus for the promotion and the ad.

The Big Idea

Newly remodeled for the new year, the Audi A6 earned the rating of Top Safety Pick+. Top Safety Pick+ is the highest 2015 rating available from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The 2016 A6 recently underwent the IIHS Small Overlap Front Crash test and received the highest possible rating of “good”.

To determine the level of safety, IIHS rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal or poor, based on performance in five tests: moderate overlap front, small overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints. In the area of crash avoidance and mitigation, IIHS assigns vehicles with available front crash prevention systems ratings of basic, advanced or superior, based on the type of system and performance in track tests.

The categories mentioned above were amazingly rated with the Audi, earning it such a prestige mention in the Top Safety Pick.

The big idea behind my campaign is the safety features that the Audi has. It is an ideal car for someone with a family, specifically someone who has a teenager or a new driver. The number one cause of deaths within the teenage age group is automobile accidents and this new car is top rated as one of the safest cars to drive this year. I plan to use the advertisement to encourage parents – and maybe teens alike – get one of the safest cars available right now.

Week 7 EOC: The Pitch

Motor vehicle crashes remain the highest cause of deaths for adolescents in the United States. In 2013 alone, 963,000 teen drivers were involved in a car accident, resulting in hundreds of thousands of injuries and over 2,000 deaths.
The IHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety & Highway Loss Data Institute) chooses cars with the best safety features every year and after researching the cars safest for teens, I came across the list for 2016.
The Audi A6 is not what you would initially think for newly licensed teenagers but it is one of the safest by far. Coming only second on a list of 10 cars, it is winning the awards for being an extremely good option for new drivers. While dishing out this kind of money for a first, or second, car, you would be paying for the piece of mind knowing that your child is in much better hands. Or seats.

The Audi A6 is equipped with state of the art safety features making parents and insurance companies alike feel loads better about teenagers being on the road alone.
